หลักการใช้ Infinitive with to
1. แสดงความปรารถนา ขอร้อง หรือ คำสั่ง
Verb + to infinitive
เช่น He asked me to wash his car. (ขอร้อง)
2. แสดงวัตถุประสงค์ หรือ เหตุผล
เช่น She gets up early to see the sunrise.
3. ปกติถ้าแสดงวัตถุประสงค์ทั่วๆ ไป จะใช้ for + gerund
เช่นA knife is a tool for cutting with.
แต่ถ้าแสดงวัตถุประสงค์เฉพาะจะใช้ ‘to’ infinitive
เช่น I want a knife to cut the bread with.
4. เป็นคำสั่งหรือหน้าที่ หรือแผนการ อ่านต่อ
